Hello everyone. I am glad to be back from my paddle trip down the Buffalo River, but not without sad news. On our first night there a dear friend of mine had a heart attach in his sleep and passed away. I found him the next morning in the middle of his yurt looking to the sky. He so loved the stars. The scene was spiritual and my friend Jon would of wanted to go in his yurt. He loved that thing so much. I carry a 8 pound tent, so anyone who would bring a 150 pound tent into the woods, well that has to be love 
. His visitation was on Thursday, Memorial service was friday, and close friends will gather for wine, food and shared love of Jon on Sunday. I am trying to get a grasp on the reality that he is really gone and I won't ever see him again in this life. I am just very sad right now. So please forgive me for my disappearing act. I will get back into the swing of things soon. Hope all of you are well and don't forget to tell your friends you love them. Call one up right now and tell them how important they are. You never know when your last encounter will be with them.

I'm so sorry for your loss but it's always comforting to know they passed over doing what they enjoyed in this realm...
